Block Garden Wall — Middleton, WI

This Middleton planting bed sat between the driveway and the sidewalk with a ring of loose bricks holding it in. The bricks had shifted and tipped, and the bed had an established shrub and spring bulbs the homeowner wanted kept.

We pulled the brick, trenched the perimeter, and set the first course of tumbled block below grade on a compacted base so the wall can't heave. Two more courses on top bring it to a clean, level cap that follows the curve of the bed.

The bed was topped off with fresh soil and the lawn edge regraded to meet the wall, with the existing plantings left in place.
